[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We previously talked about the April updates for users in Google Workspace. They encourage collaboration and increase productivity.
Today we focus on updates that allow developers to take the suite to another level and adapt it to their business model.
Which are the same?
Google Forms API
Create surveys, forms and more.
It is now available to the general public. The Google Forms API provides programmatic access to manage Google Forms and execute actions based on responses, allowing developers to create powerful integrations based on Forms.
What is it for?
It allows the development of powerful integrations. For example, to develop real-time reporting dashboards, activate workflows of different projects, among others.
The API is useful for different tasks such as:
- Modify forms or questionnaires
- Retrieve answers from forms or questionnaire scores
- Receive push notifications about form or questionnaire responses and form structure updates
Administrators: Through the Administrator Console, administrators can manage which integrations are authorized to access Google Workspace data.
IMPORTANT: Restricting access to the Google Drive service will limit access to the Google Forms API.
It is available to all Google Workspace, G Suite and personal accounts.
Attach files to Google Calendar from third-party services
Today, Google Drive files can be attached to Google Calendar events. In this way, processes are streamlined by having the necessary information available at the time of the meeting.
As a result, add-ons can now be developed to support file attachments from a wide variety of other sources such as whiteboarding, content creation or file management tools.
Users with the appropriate plug-ins installed will be able to attach files from these sources to a Calendar event, and attendees will be able to view the event with the file attached on the Web or on their mobile device.
Developers: To get started, learn more about the Calendar extension with Google Workspace add-ons and how to add attachments with a callback feature.
It is available to all Google Workspace and G Suite users.
Our team of Google Workspace consultants can answer questions and provide consultancy in this regard.
