LITSA improves employee connectivity using Google Apps for Business
LITSA needed to improve the quality of email service and reduce administration and maintenance requirements.
Â
"Google Apps offers a high-quality service combining the modernity of Gmail and the continuity of Outlook.
Â
We gained in performance, eliminating the need for support, with an optimal cost/benefit ratio".

LITSA is an Argentine capital company that transports electric power in what is known as "extra high voltage" (500kV). It operates in the Litoral area of Argentina. It has its administrative offices in the city of Buenos Aires, but its main operational offices are in Corrientes and it also has multiple technical stations along the high voltage network in the Litoral provinces. In May 2012, they decided to implement Google Apps with the help of ExpertizenExpertizen is an authorized Google Apps reseller focused on solving real problems of companies and their people with cloud technologies.
Â
Daniel Faggioli, from LITSA, explains: "We mainly wanted to improve the quality of the e-mail service, our MS Exchange server required continuous maintenance and administration by our technical team and we really wanted to be able to dedicate that time to tasks of greater value for the business. The location of the server also conditioned the quality of service, as it affected all the offices if there was any inconvenience in the central office.
Â
When we consulted with Expertizen on these issues, they showed us that we could improve email quality and availability while reducing support and maintenance needs by using Google Apps for Business.
Â
The implementation took a few weeks, starting with the Buenos Aires offices and then moving on to the rest. The most recent mail, contacts and calendars were migrated centrally from MS Exchange to Google Apps. Managers maintained the use of Outlook with Google Apps, transparently to them, keeping older mail in their local archives. The bulk of employees switched to Gmail. Cell phones were also easily configured for continuous access to mail, contacts and calendar.
Â
Administration and maintenance requirements have been drastically reduced. GMail simply works and is always available. The administration required is minimal. All this with an optimal cost/benefit ratio.
Â
Finally, with the help of Expertizen, we are looking to take advantage of using the rest of the suite of tools offered by Google Apps to start storing part of our documents in the cloud and create some Web sites to help in our management.
Â
This change allowed us to meet our objectives to improve the quality of e-mail, collaboration in general and to be able to focus our resources on the needs of the business. It is amazing that all this was possible without complex technological solutions and with an absolutely simple administration.
