With Zoho Books + AFIP electronic invoice integration you can add the QR code to your invoice.
Why add it?
According to General Resolution 4892/2020 in force since 12/24/2020, invoices must have a QR code for their identification. It is different for subjects that process the authorization to issue electronic vouchers through the exchange of information based on the "WebService". The date on which it will be mandatory to incorporate the "QR" code is detailed in the following schedule indicated by AFIP:
- For taxpayers registered in the value added tax who have carried out transactions (taxed, exempt and non-taxed) declared in the tax during the calendar year 2020 for a total amount net of taxes and fees:
- Over $ 10,000,000: as of March 1, 2021.
- More than $ 2,000,000 and less than or equal to $ 10,000,000: as from April 1, 2021.
- More than $ 500,000 and less than or equal to $ 2,000,000: from May 1, 2021.
For the rest of the taxpayers registered in the value added tax, exempt taxpayers and small taxpayers registered in the Monotax: as from June 1, 2021.
The QR code can be scanned with the camera of a cell phone, tablet or similar device with internet access. In any case, then any case, the incorporation of the code must not hinder the visualization of the required data.. This code identifies that the electronic invoice is authorized by the AFIP.
What information should it contain?
According to AFIP the data to be encoded in the QR are: date of issue; issuer's CUIT; point of sale; voucher type; voucher number; total amount; currency; quotation; receiver document type (if applicable); receiver document number (if applicable); authorization type code and authorization code.
