Most business processes have simultaneous tasks to accomplish. The more this happens, the more agile they become.
But many times, there are backlogged tasks along the way, lost documents, that do not allow the process to be completed.

How to avoid it? Design and automate the process.

  • Think design consciously. It will avoid misunderstandings or a workflow that does not work.
  • Define each person involved in it and their action times.
  • Take into account the tasks that are developed simultaneously and what should be their times and results.
  • To translate it into a BPM platform (without the need for programming) and automate it.
  • Obtain reports on how they work and improve them.

Flokzu is a BPM platform that allows you to do this.

What does it mean? With a simple drag-and-drop interface, you can model your cloud workflow according to the reality of your organization.

Without the need to schedule, it is possible to combine tasks, manage time and deadlines, shape the process and receive notifications. Implementing and executing your processes in minutes / hours (instead of weeks / months) is a key benefit of BPM in the cloud.

How to implement simultaneous tasks in Flokzu?

By parallelizing the flow you enable different users to work on two or more tasks at the same time and save time. To parallelize the flow you must use an inclusive gate in the workflow design.

However, the operation of the gate depends on its configuration. If the inclusive gate divides the flow into different paths, it is called "diverging". If it is used to join several paths, it is called "convergence".

Divergence path

It represents a division in the flow into two or more paths (the different alternatives may or may not have conditions). If there are no conditions, all tasks will be executed in parallel. If there are conditions, the true evaluation of one condition does not exclude the evaluation of the other conditions (this is what enables parallelism). All true evaluations will be executed at the same time.

Divergence path with conditions: in this case both tasks can be executed in parallel or only one of them, depending on whether both conditions are met.

The inclusive gate is also used to join different paths and continue the process through a single flow. In this way it will wait until all active tasks are completed before continuing to the next stage.
