[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Google this month brings new updates with the aim of optimizing collaborative work, giving more control and information to the user and helping effective communication between areas.

Which are the same?

Guest list at Google Meet

From now on, below the list of meeting participants, you can see the list of invitees who have not yet joined the meeting, along with their invitation status and notes. You can also send them a chat message from the Meet.

Availability:

  • Available for all Google Workspace versions except Google Workspace Essentials and Enterprise Essentials.

Notifications of changes made to Documents

Thanks to this new feature, you can choose to receive notifications in your e-mail about the different changes made to a Document. These notifications detail who made them, what the changes are and when they were made. By configuring which changes should be notified, you can prioritize what is necessary and, in turn, follow the collaboration of all those involved.

To configure this functionality you can do it from:

  • Gmail

  • Documents: Notifications Settings (bell icon) or Tools.

Notifications are disabled by default and are enabled per document.

Availability:

  • Available for all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business editions.

Questions and answers anonymously on Google Meet:

This update comes as a result of a recurring request from users. It allows Meet participants to answer polls or ask questions completely anonymously, facilitating and boosting attendee participation. Today this is not possible without the user's name appearing.

Anonymous questions:

  • They will be enabled by default. If you wish to disable them, go to Meeting Activities > Allow Questions > Allow Anonymous Questions.

Anonymous surveys:

  • In this case, the functionality is disabled by default, if you wish to enable it you must do so when you share the survey.

Larger spaces in Google Chat:

From now on, between 400 and 8,000 members can be added to Google Chat. With this update, Google seeks to increase connectivity and communication in companies and, in this way, create communities.
