New styles and wraparound backgrounds in Google Meet
Five new wraparound backgrounds with subtle animations that add a touch of life or change the lighting have been added to the web version of Google Meet. The interiors of cafes and apartments will have various versions (e.g., rainy or snowy) that will allow team members located in different parts of the world to better represent their weather and time zone.
How to get started
- Administrators: To enable or disable wrap-around styles and backgrounds, go to Administrator Console > Apps > Google Workspace > Google Meet Settings > Meet Video Settings.

This year, new RSVP options were introduced in Google Calendar invitations to make the application more flexible in hybrid work environments. The same feature has now been added to Gmail.
With these options, users can indicate how they plan to join a meeting: in the meeting room or virtually. Both the organizer and guests will be able to see that information in the event details. Attendees will then know what to expect when they join the meeting and can prepare accordingly.
